Território (Territory)
This work depicts Tupinambá ceremonial cloaks returning to their native territory after 300 years. It reflects on the meaning of return, memory, and belonging within a demarcated land where Indigenous peoples are still unable to fully express themselves with freedom or live in harmony with Mother Earth.
The fence is a central and highly symbolic element of the composition. It represents boundaries, restrictions, and the tensions between territory, identity, and sovereignty.
Through this imagery, the work invites reflection on the historical and contemporary realities faced by Indigenous communities, while emphasizing the enduring connection between ancestral heritage and the land.
