This work is a tribute to the strength that enabled the Brazilian people to work, settle, and build the state of Goiás.

Three hundred years ago, before machinery and modern technology, oxen provided the power that moved the land and made human labor possible throughout the Cerrado. They were essential to transportation, agriculture, and the development of the region.

The work honors this often-overlooked force, recognizing the vital role of cattle in shaping the history, culture, and occupation of Brazil’s interior.
