Há 300 anos junto a cidade de Vila Boa de Goiás um padre espanhol trouxe essa procissão ao Brasil.
A antiga capital até hoje mantém viva essa manifestação cinematográfica que emociona centenas de milhares de pessoas pela cidade com a passagem das tochas.
Pique comida típica de Goiás em sua árvore compartilha espaço com Faricocos e Bois representando a força que possibilitou o homem a mover aquela região.

Farricoco
Three hundred years ago, alongside the city of Goiás—formerly Vila Boa de Goiás—this procession was brought to Brazil by a Spanish priest.
To this day, the former state capital preserves this dramatic and deeply moving tradition, which draws hundreds of thousands of people to its streets as torchbearers pass through the city during Holy Week.
In this work, the pequi—a traditional fruit and culinary symbol of Goiás—shares space with the Farricocos and oxen, representing the strength that enabled human settlement and development in the region. Together, these elements celebrate the history, culture, and identity of Goiás.
