Exodo I & II (Exodus I & Exodus II)
Through my travels across the backlands of Minas Gerais, Paraíba, and the interior of Goiás, I developed a reflection on the condition of exodus—the movement of people away from their homelands due to environmental, political, and cultural circumstances.
These works invite viewers to reflect on displacement and the realities faced by refugees around the world. They explore themes of belonging, identity, adaptation, and the search for new beginnings.
At the same time, the series acknowledges Brazil's long tradition of welcoming those seeking refuge, highlighting the country's role as a place of encounter, diversity, and renewal.
